Summer 2013

This summer has been busy, but fun. Mike and I took a trip to Vegas in June with the Olsons and Klatts!! Who would have guessed that in June we would still want to go to warm weather??? It was a long spring with lots of snow, so any warm weather was great! Brecken played soccer again this summer and was on a fun team…they won all their games! Brecken also played some golf, hockey, and did lots of swimming this summer. We got a new puppy this summer name Limo and she has been a wonderful addition to family. She is getting better at sleeping through the night, so that is making me happier! Working FT and no sleep is way too hard. I am getting excited for fall this year, since Mike is putting in a fireplace and I start to travel a lot for work, but to warm places! We also start Mites hockey for Brecken, which will be keeping us busy.

Disneyland-Palm Springs-Los Angeles, California

We took Brecken to Palm Springs, Disneyland, and LA at the end of February. We were so busy, but had the best time. Disney was great, which I knew it would be. Weather was perfect around 70’s each day, but mornings were cool. When we drove into LA we saw the Oscars getting set up and walked right up to it….it was a neat thing to see!!  We also saw the Santa Monica Pier, the ocean, Beverly Hills, and Rodeo Drive. I loved sitting at the beach!! Mike & I have been to LA, but it was fun to take Brecken. When we were on the plane coming home Brecken told us it was a great vacation!!

Winter 2012

Most of the winter has been focus on hockey for Brecken. He loves it!! He did Ice is Nice at Anoka and now is doing Junior Hockey in Andover. He has gotten really good at it, but still needs to work on stopping. They play games once in awhile and Brecken scored a goal, so that made him happy. For X-mas this year he wanted a new snowmobile, 4-wheeler, and dirt bike. I guess we spoiled him with the snowmobile and 4-wheeler. He didn't get anything too big this year, but his favorite gift was his hockey gloves Grandpa and Grandma Johnson got him. He had them on all Christmas day. Brecken is learning so much in school right now. He can read certain things, knows the months, days of the week, telling time a little bit, he can sign the alphabet and if you spell things he can write it out. I just called Franklin elementary to let them know Brecken will not be attending Kindergarten this fall. I want to keep him at home one more year, since boys are not as mature. He is smart enough, but a total boy. I am also happy about having him around 1 more year. I don't ever want him to leave!!
