Happy Halloween
This October we did many Halloween things, hayride, pumpkin patch, 101 Market, & a couple Halloween parties! Brecken was Light McQueen's Race Car Driver for Hallween. Brecken is now going every Sunday to open ice to practice skating...Mike wants his hockey player! Brecken keeps getting better. Last weekend he skated without the skating helper. He is now potty trained (FINALLY)!! We just had Brecken's preschool conferences & they said he is doing amazing. He can cut straight lines with a scissor, counts to 30, knows all the shapes & color in English & Spanish, draws pictures of himself, which turned out good and his teacher said most kids couldn't do :) It makes me proud!! Next they are going to focus on written their names. Brecken also started Sunday school and I volunteer at the church, so our Sundays are busy!!

New Job/New Daycare Center-Preschool
I started a new job on September 12th at Firestone Building Products, so our lives have been busy. The best part is that it is 5 miles from our house!! Brecken is now in preschool at the Learning Lodge. He loves it there!! The first couple of weeks after I picked him up he asked if he could come back. The cutest thing about the Learning Lodge is he can look out the window in the morning and wave goodbye to me. It is one of those memories I will cherish forever! In preschool he plays outside 3 times a day, takes a nap still, and is learning so much (i.e. coloring in the lines, his full name, . It is an all day long program and he is in the backpack room for 3 year olds. Brecken is now wearing big boy underwear, but we still have an accidents. He is having a tough time with number 2!! We just went the 101 Market for Halloween. It was a great day, Brecken went the corn maze, played in corn, rode a bike, shot corn out of the play gun, went on a wagon ride, and visited the petting zoo…which had an alligator, porcupine, kangaroo, bunnies, and other animal I hadn’t heard of. Mom loved it too!!
Also at my new job I won 2nd row end zone tickets to the Vikes game! It was such a fun day!!

My Little Talker/Summer 2011
Brecken, Mike and I have been keeping busy this summer. Lots of weddings and lots of swimming. Brecken now swims in the pool alone with his life vest one. It so great, since the beginning of the summer he didn’t want me to let go of him. Thanks for Tracy Marshall for coming over one day and teaching him how to swim with his vest on!!! Brecken is quite the talker now. On car rides home from daycare I cannot turn the radio on anymore, because Brecken wants to talk the whole time. He always says…”mom I have a question for you.” Which is so funny, because he doesn’t have question for me he just wants to tell me a story. Brecken now sees SUV/Trucks that look like Grandma Kelli or Sue’s or Grandpa Roger or Jim’s car on the road and he thinks it is them. It is so funny….he just said Mom don’t stop, because Grandpa is going fast. I looked over and car like Grandpa Jim’s was driving past us fast. He must think they just drive around all day, since all of them have very common SUV/Trucks. Another cute thing he says is when I say good morning “love” or I missed you “my cute boy” he says I am not “love” I am Brecken!

Almost 3 Years Old (Spring 2011)
MOA with Dad & Mom
Home Depot Kids Crafts
Dave & Busters with "My Bob", which Brecken calls him
Mike and I are really enjoying all the fun things we get to do with Brecken now. Our weekends are packed with different activates. Brecken was in soccer and swimming this past February, so that was a lot of fun. We are now outside all the time with the weather getting warmer. After the loss of Luke, Mike and I have a new appreciation of family and how important it is to spend time in the present.

Ready to ride.....By far this is my favorite age. We are almost out of the terrible twos and Brecken is really starting to act like a kid and not so much a toddler. The other day he asked me when I had my glasses "mom did you always have glasses?" He knows all his shapes including oval, counts up to 12, after 12 goes to 18 :) We play candyland and he matches his card to the space on the board. He draws me pictures, the other day he drew an octopus and said "ewe octopus" it was just a scribble to me. Brecken is now enrolled in soccer and swimming which he loves. He is the biggest kid in his soccer group, so he knocks the other kids over if he touches them. It is embarrassing, but funny since I never thought I would have the big boy!! We are really working hard on potty training. Last weekend he went on the toilet every time, so I only changed diapers after nap and in the morning. We will see how long this process takes.

Armstrong Hockey..Go Lauren
Brecken watching his Aunt Lauren play varsity hockey for Armstrong High School. Brecken wanted to be out on the ice the whole time. The weekend before we had taken him skating, but he didn't understand how to stand up, so he got frustrated. He talked about it the whole next week how he wanted to play hockey again. We will try again once it warms up a little.

Christmas 2010
This year Brecken somewhat understood Santa and that he delivered presents if he was good. When Brecken open a present this year he wanted Mom or Dad to put it together right away. We had to convince him to open all his gifts first before we would put them together…learning lesson next year more gifts need to be put together x-mas eve night!!!! Brecken wanted this year for Christmas Monster Trucks. He was scared when he saw Santa, so he yelled to him that he wanted a Monster Truck. It was really cute. We had two Christmas celebrations at our house this year, which was exciting. Brecken was up really late on x-mas eve, so x-mas day was a long one for him. He took a nap for 3 hours while Mike and I ate a wonderful meal at my parents house and played a game. It was relaxing and we needed it. Brecken’s favorite gift was the bowling game Mike picked out for him, which we were not expecting to be his favorite, but he loves anything to do with sports.
I hope everyone has a very Happy New Year!!
