7 MONTHS OLD

Brecken is now 7 months old. In the last few weeks he has really changed. He can sit up with no issues, passes objects from one hand to the other, he grabs for things with his fingers, he knows that even though he cannot see things that they are still there…Calla, he sleeps through the whole night (over 10 hours straight), holds himself up on different objects, understands “up & down”, eats all kinds of solids, scoots, feeds himself, which is a huge mess, he says “hey” and drinks out of a sippy cup. He is off the charts for length, weight, and head circumference. He is in the 90% percentile! We love our “big” little boy! Mike and I are looking forward to our first holiday season with Brecken and starting many new traditions.

Brecken is also getting his 1st tooth!

Merry Christmas

6 MONTHS OLD

6 months old….1/2 a year and it has gone by so fast!! Brecken is now eating rice cereal and veggies. The first time he had carrots he made the funniest face. He now holds out his arms if he wants to be picked up or stretches out his arms to you to hold him if he is in another persons arms. The cutest thing he has done so far is that he pulls on your head and pulls your face into his mouth and gives you a kiss with his mouth open wide. They are very sloppy kisses, but really special. He gives them to everyone. Crystal Brecken’s teacher at daycare gets a lot of them. Brecken really likes her!

5 MONTHS OLD

Wow do they grow up fast. Brecken is now 5 months old.....when he was first born I wished for him to be 5 months old and now I want time to freeze!!! He is now sitting up and he is sleeping through the night. He goes to bed around 7:00 pm and sleeps until 4:00-5:00 am; he eats and goes back to bed until around 7:00 am. We are feeding him rice cereal with a spoon and he opens his mouth when say “open.” It is really cute. In the next few weeks he might be crawling and some teeth might poke though. He has become very observant over the last few weeks. He loves to watch Calla and listen to her bark. Brecken is laughing, smiling and talking a lot. Brecken said his first word last week "Hi.” He said it three days in a row and 3-5 times in a row. Mike, Grandpa and Grandma Easthouse, and I heard it, so I am not being the crazy mom who thinks her child is talking when he is just babbling!!

BRECKEN'S NEW TOY

I love my Johnny Jumper from Becci... Now I can stand up all the time and my mom & dad do not need to hold me! Brecken is now trying to crawl/scoot, so soon we will be following him around the house. Watch out Calla!!

4 Months Old

♥Brecken is now 4 months old. He can roll over from back to tummy, laugh, sit up (sometimes), flirt, and he now acts shy to strangers! He was very afraid of the doctor. He loves to suck his thumb, which helps him fall asleep. He is teething, so he always has something in his mouth. He loves to cuddle and stand up. He cannot stand up enough!

3 MONTHS OLD

Brecken is now 3 months old! They grow up so quickly! He can roll over from tummy to back, grasp/hold objects, look at his hands, put things in his mouth....everything goes into his mouth :)-, stand up with help, laugh, smile, kick, and talk (ooh, ahh). He is almost sleeping through the night. He gets up around 2:30 am and before daycare or sleeps until 9:00 am on weekends!

BEST FRIENDS

Calla and Brecken are best friends. Calla thinks that Brecken is her baby. She cries when she is locked out of his room.

OUR NEW LITTLE BOY

Brecken Lane Johnson born on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 7:03 am. He weighed 7 lbs, 13 oz- 22 inches long!

He arrived after 18 hours of labor......5 hours which were pushing, followed by the vacuum, which did not work. Finally the doctors arranged a c-section and our son was out! He was perfect :)
